Dear Artist & Craft Vendor Applicant, We are getting ready for our 6th annual “Powhatan’s Festival of the Grape“, on Saturday, October 25, 2008, 11am to 6pm. This will be another great event with 18 wineries expected, and Steve Bassett will be performing again this year. Thank you for your interest in being a vendor! Below is all the information and the application. If you have questions, please contact Susan Ash at 804-598-6969, or by email: completepicture@verizon.net. THIS IS YOUR INFORMATION SHEET.....PLEASE KEEP A COPY! Entry Fee: $ 75. ($100. after September 30th) for each 10’ x 10’ space. No more than 2 spaces per vendor. The festival will provide an assigned space. Each vendor is responsible for other needs such as tent (if desired), tables, chairs, etc. Note--tents need to be surface standing - no ground stakes. Setup: Saturday morning starting at 7:00 AM. Vehicles may be driven up to the courthouse area for unloading but must be moved before 11:00 AM. Because of the close quarters in the courthouse area we request only one vehicle per vendor, if possible. Each vendor will receive only one vendor-parking pass for the day. Additional parking available off-site. Electricity: Sorry-no generators. Electricity is NOT available. NO Deadline: Please keep in mind that the fee increases to $100. per space after September 30th. Details: Mail application to: Susan Ash, PO Box 357, Powhatan, VA 23139, 804-598-6969 Please enclose check for $ 75. ($100. after September 30th) per space, made out to Powhatan Chamber of Commerce. Check will be returned if application is not accepted. All entries (even if you were a vendor previous years) will be screened for quality. Name tags are not provided. The festival committee has the right to accept or reject an applicant to insure variety & quality. NO re-sale/pre-made jewelry....All jewelry vendors must create/make their own jewelry. NO marshmallows shooters. NO peanuts in the shell. This will be a rain or shine event! No pets (assistance animals allowed) Wine Tasting Tickets: Each vendor, and your workers, are admitted (with no need to buy a ticket) when arriving at about 7:00AM (before the entry gates are up). This admittance does NOT include wine tasting or a souvenir glass.
